  Overview

  I'm S38 Global 4 Ling, and here's my build and emblems. Additionally, I tried to mention all key things that I learned about the hero.

  Strengths

  - Mobility privilege: 1st skill allows you to rotate fast and run away from danger. - Targeting squishy heroes: Ling has easy access to backline in team fights. - Objectives control: good at pushing turrets and stealing objectives like turtles and Lord. - Invincibility: 3rd skill (ultimate) makes Ling basically immune to anything. If timed correctly, you can even dodge Franco or Saber ults. - Late game potential: while there are better scaling junglers in the game, Ling is still strong if you aim for late game.

  Weaknesses

  - Difficulty: Ling is one of the hardest heroes to master. - Weak early game: very very bad against early invades in jungle. - No burst damage: you can rarely get a solo kill without gold advantage, because Ling has no burst damage in his skill set. - Blue buff dependency: without a blue buff Ling is very limited. - Team reliant: you rely entirely on your team when it comes to initiating a team fight or zoning enemies. - Broken Walls map: it's a rare occasion when a map variation negatively impacts hero's performance.

  Blue retribution is usually the best option. Red retribution can be used in certain cases.

  Basic macro tips

  1. Farm first: Ling is insanely item-dependent, so it's very important to get first two damage items as fast as possible. 2. Don't ult immediately: save it for the right moment, remember the ultimate has like 45 sec cooldown. 3. Use in-game communication: sometimes your team doesn't understand what you want to do and whether or not you have the opportunity to join a fight. Use short commands and share your ult CD for better clarity. 4. In team fights DON'T RUSH, let your teammates absorb major CC skills first, be like a snake 🐍

  Niche (advanced) tricks

  ✪ "Wall boost": while in ultimate, releasing your 2nd skill slightly into the wall will make your whole combo faster. ✪ Bushes spots: there are many places on the map where you can be on the wall and in the bush at the same time. ✪ Wave management: pay attention to minion waves after 5 minutes of the match (especially on EXP lane); clearing them gives Ling an underrated boost in gold. ✪ Lane cut: if you left alone to defend your base without an inhibitor turret, your last chance would be cutting Mid lane minions before they come close to your base. Enemy won't be able to destroy the base without minions.

  Good with Khufra: ⚡(Roam) Khufra has perfect initiative ability and CC.

  Good with Kagura: ⚡(Mid lane) Kagura compensates for Ling's lack of burst damage.

  Good with Yu Zhong: ⚡(EXP lane) Good zoning, protection from early invades, and it's pretty intuitive to follow Yu Zhong in a team fight.

  Good with Natan: ⚡(Gold lane) Natan is a Magical damage type hero. It's good because enemy can't just build a single defensive item like Blade Armour to counter both.

  Good with Angela: 🌷 Classic duo. Still decent, but not as reliable as in the old meta.

  Watch out for Natalia: 🔴 Immune to Basic attacks. Theoretically impossible to outplay 1v1.

  Watch out for Aamon: 🔴 Immune to Basic attacks. Theoretically impossible to outplay 1v1.

  Watch out for Karina: 🟠 Karina has limited immunity to Basic attacks, so she can be outplayed.

  Watch out for Saber: 🔴 Saber's ult is annoying if your team can't bait it somehow.

  Watch out for Kaja: 🔴 Same as Saber ❗The real trouble begins when Kaja invades your jungle (he can use flicker+1st skill combo to steal a buff, making your already weak start just miserable, BE AWARE OF IT).

  Watch out for Khufra: 🟠 Khufra blocks dashes with his 2nd skill. But it's not that horrible if you have ult.

  Watch out for Melissa: 🟠 Ling can't solo kill Melissa. Her ult cooldown is just the same as Ling's.

  Watch out for Gord: 🟢 It's a green light for you to pick Ling. A mage that doesn't have CC and escape skills.

  Watch out for Novaria: 🟢 It's a green light for you to pick Ling. A mage that doesn't have CC and escape skills.

  Watch out for Xavier: 🟢 It's a green light for you to pick Ling. A mage that doesn't have escape skills.

  Watch out for Granger: 🟢 It's a green light for you to pick Ling. Granger can't aim his skills properly at dashing targets.

  Spell: Retribution

  Ling is a scaling hero who really needs a build. So, Retribution is the right spell choice for quickly gaining XP early on.

  Emblem: Assassin

  Talents: #1211, #122, #133

  Ling is a critical damage hero, so his first talent, "Fatal," is ideal. The second talent is, of course, a general jungler talent, allowing him to speed up farming. And the third talent, "War Cry," I think is a very suitable combo for Ling.

  Overview

  Ling got buff gaining 70% Attack Speed ratio (from 30%). So his main damage comes from his BASIC ATTACK + 2ND SKILL. while ultimate is used to chase down enemies and finishes up kills or to get away from difficult positions.

  Strengths

  Heavy CHASE heroe. Main prey are all mages and heroes lacking in movements skill.

  Weaknesses

  Lockdown heroes such as Franco, Saber, Moskov adn very tanky heroes like Fredrin, Grock, Uranus

  Items: Chase/Burst

  

  Corrosion Scythe can be substituted with Windtalker. However if you choose Corrosion Scythe, it has more damage output and faster basic attack due to Corrosion Scythe passive. It also slowed down enemy so you can deal more damage.

  Spell: Retribution

  Retribution blue -> to add movement speed to chase down opponents

  Emblem: Assassin

  Talents: #1211, #122, #133

  War Cry is first option, if you still having trouble to ling movements, you can choose Quantum Charge to add more health.

  Early Game TIPS

  Farm all the jungle and avoid every teamfight unless it is a >80% secured kill. This is because ling has a very low damage output under 5 minute mark.

  Mid to Late game TIPS

  Chase down either MM or MAGE whoever used movement skills or activate their movement spell first. Hold Ultimate until the very last second to finish the kill and charge energy to fly away (back to our territory).

  Good with Xavier: Xavier can help to stun enemies so ling damage can be delivered more easily.

  Good with Atlas: Atlas Ultimate can be combined with Ling Ultimate to deal tons of damage.

  Watch out for Saber: Its Ban Saber or do not pick Ling. Period.

  Overview

  Ling has 2 Build options: with a scythe and without. The scythe helps in form and killing targets without movement (or with weak 1v1 potential). If there are no such targets, then pure crits

  In the early stages (less than 3 items), just finish off enemies, stand on the wall more often, and don't waste your ultimate. Farm minions more often after 5 minutes (exp lane/mid lane), and you can skip the turtle (if you don't have an advantage).

  Good with Yu Zhong: Takes the enemies' focus and takes their buttons

  Watch out for Obsidia: Punishes Ling if he uses his ultimate

  Overview

  ling is only powerfull at lvl 4 in the early game , without his ult in the early game he's ez to kill , so make sure to farm properly to get lvl 4 before getting into any unwinable fight

  Strengths

  ling is powerfull with his blue buff , and if u do his combo smoothly without any mistake with any hero in the early he'll be vanished , and late game he can easily target dmg dealers like mm and mage , only 2 basics and 1 second skill and they're dead , but gotta play it professionally

  Weaknesses

  if they invaded u , just leave the buff if it was just u against multiple enemies , cuz he's too weak early game , just focus on farming , and his energy is the most important thing to worry about , don't be wasting the energy before getting into fights without any reason , and without his blue his energy cost with skill at early game is too much

  Items: best equipment in my opinion

  

  it's good to do both dmg and life steal in the same time , in late game ling is a horror to the marksman and mage , u can switch when u lose immortality passif to winter crown or rose gold

  war cry is important to increase dmg and it works good with fatal to increase both Crit dmg and chance

  late game

  ling is a nightmare to mm and mage in late game , so he can easily target them thanks to his 1st skill mobility

  Good with Angela: it's a good match due to her passif which gives ling movement speed and her ult that gives a good shield and her healing ofc

  Good with Floryn: a perfecct supp with ling in my opinion due to her flower pass and her extreme heal in the middle and late game
