Note: The first item after boots should be a defensive item depending on the damage of the enemy standing in the lane. Secondly, after the War Axe and Queen's Wings, the defensive item depends on the situation and not the standard build shown here.

The Fighter Emblem gives Ruby extra lifesteal, damage, and durability. With talents like Festival of Blood and Brave Smite, she can heal quickly during fights and stay alive while dealing consistent damage.
In the early game, focus on farming safely in the EXP lane and use Skill 1 to poke enemies while healing with lifesteal. After reaching level 4, look for opportunities to help mid or join team fights with your Ultimate. In mid and late game, always stay near your allies and use your skills to control enemies. Try to chain your Skill 2 and Ultimate for strong crowd control, and use Flicker + Ultimate for surprise engages. Avoid overextending alone, and remember that positioning is the key to survive and win fights.

Focus on safe farming and short trades. Use skills to poke and sustain with spell vamp. Avoid overextending before level 4. Control the lane and wait for opportunities to engage with your team or punish enemy mistakes.
Start joining team fights and skirmishes. Use your skills to control multiple enemies and create openings. Look for good positioning and engage with your ultimate. Protect allies and disrupt enemy backline.
Stay with your team and focus on controlling fights. One good ultimate can decide the game. Target grouped enemies and use Flicker for better positioning. Maintain sustain and avoid getting caught alone.
Good with Xavier: Ruby works well with heroes that deal area damage. Her crowd control can group enemies together, making it easier for allies to land powerful skills and deal massive damage in team fights.
Good with Pharsa: Ruby holds enemies in place, making it easy for Pharsa to land her skills. This combo is very effective for long range damage and team fight control.
Good with Vale: Ruby groups enemies together, making it easy for Vale to hit multiple targets with his skills. Very strong burst combination.
Good with Tigreal: Tigreal and Ruby create a strong crowd control combo. Tigreal can gather enemies with his ultimate, and Ruby can follow up with her skills to keep them locked. This combination is very effective in team fights and can easily control multiple targets.
Watch out for Karrie: Karrie deals true damage based on max HP, which makes Ruby sustain less effective. She can melt Ruby quickly even in tank builds.
Watch out for Valir: Valir can push Ruby away and keep distance. His control and damage prevent Ruby from engaging and using her combo.
Watch out for Diggie: Diggie ultimate removes crowd control, which completely weakens Ruby impact in fights. Without control, Ruby loses her main strength.
Watch out for Baxia: Baxia reduces healing effects. Ruby depends on sustain, so anti heal makes her much easier to kill.
Good with Pharsa: Ruby is strong against melee heroes who rely on close combat, like Alucard, Chou, and Lancelot, because she can use her crowd control and lifesteal to outlast them. She works well with heroes who can follow up her Ultimate, such as Eudora or Pharsa.
Watch out for Valir: Ruby is weak against heroes with strong burst or anti-heal effects, like Valir, Lunox, and Esmeralda. Always be careful of enemies who can cancel your combo or keep you at a distance.
